This is an interior view of Weidmann’s restaurant in Meridian from the mid-1950s. Weidmann's was established in 1870 by Felix Weidmann, a Swiss immigrant. The restaurant moved to it’s current location in 1923, and was owned at the time by Henry Weidmann, grandson of the founder. During the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s, Weidmann's was open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, only closing for Christmas day. It's still open, although the outside doesn't look the same. The newest owners have restored some of the old menu items and reintroduced the famous peanut butter crocks on the table. I remember going to Weidmann's as a kid. I have no idea how the food was but I have very fond memories of being there.
